Tagged Again!

I was tagged again for a meme and it's a long one this time! Hopefully you can handle all this info about me! Mel at A Box of Chocolates (sounds like we have something in common, huh?!) tagged me. Stop by and congratulate her on 500 posts! Wow! She's having a giveaway, too.

Okay, here goes:

Favorite person (outside family)?
Too tough a question. I would say Jesus, but I consider Him family!

Favorite food? I think you can say it with me...CHOCOLATE!

Quirks about you? I don't like to sneeze and will make faces trying to avoid it; I don't like making phone calls (I do love my friends & family though!); I get cold easily (70 degrees is chilly!), and I love exclamation points which can be a problem, according to Melanie.

How would the person who loves you most describe you in ten words or less? Good wife/mom, dessert-maker, occasional house-cleaner, back-seat driver, amazing stacking skills

Any regrets in life? There are plenty of regrets, but the Lord has forgiven me so I don't dwell on them.

Favorite Charity/Cause? My son's Christian school.

Favorite Blog recently? I enjoy so many, but I am especially enjoying Like a Warm Cup of Coffee because she is taking me through a 31 day cleaning challenge that I desperately need!

Something you can’t get enough of? Chocolate (I could, but I have to restrain myself) and love!

Worst job you’ve ever had? Late-night hostess at a restaurant where many drunk people came in to eat.

What job would you pay NOT to have? House-cleaner or Janitor (now you see why I need the cleaning challenge mentioned above)

If you could be a fly on the wall, where? My husband's office - I would love to see how he interacts with employees and if they actually like his jokes. :)

Favorite Bible verse right now? Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Guilty Pleasure? Fancy coffee drinks, clothes, and tea things

Got any confessions? The Lord knows!

If you HAD to spend $1,000 on YOURSELF, how would you spend it? Clothes and accessories, Starbucks, home decor, go to tea with my friends, spa day...and I'd throw in some chocolate!

Favorite thing about your house? A gate in the fence leads out into a park and we have really good neighbors.

Least favorite thing about your house? No pantry, no walk-in closet, no third-car garage

One thing you are bad at? Just one???? Here we go again with the house-cleaning.

One thing you’re good at? Making yummy chocolate desserts.

If you could change something about your circumstances, what? I'd be fit and trim and I'd have a self-cleaning house.

Who would you like to meet someday? hands down...Jesus!

What makes you feel sexy? Anything that gets a compliment from my husband.

Who is your real life hero? My husband. He is a godly man, works hard to provide for us, fixes things, laughs, plays games with our son and loves me even with my gazillions of faults.

What is the hardest part of your job? Um...well...have I talked to you about the house-cleaning?

When are you most relaxed? Late at night and most relaxed on Sunday afternoons after church.

What stresses you out? Doing things last minute

What can you not live without? My Bible, my family and friends, and maybe my blog!

Do you agree or disagree with the recent article that reported that blogs are authored by narcissists? I'm so glad to be able to share my wonderful thoughts with you on this as I know you are anxiously awaiting my opinion...I actually agree a little bit, but the same would go for any author, whether book, magazine, or blog. I think a lot of us are just here to share, learn something, and make connections - nothing wrong with that!

Why do you blog? I started just for a way to write and clear some thoughts out of my head (I was always composing mini articles in my head - I just never realized that they were blog posts!!). I also love all the sharing of knowledge and ideas, the encouragement, and connections and new friends.

Okay - rules:
1. Answer the questions
2. Link back to whoever tagged you
3. Tag eight bloggers to do the same, 2 from each category.

No pressure for any of you to do this - only if you want (I'm just following the rules!):

• New/newer bloggers -- One Sock at a Time and The Glass Jar (both started around the same time as me)

• Bloggy friends -- Like a Warm Cup of Coffee and Scooterblu's Whimsy (they've been tagged before, but they're friends so they can't get mad at me!)

• Bloggers you’d like to get to know better -- The Inspired Room and My Cup 2 Yours (Really enjoy both)

• Bloggers you don’t think will respond, but you hope will -- Musings of a Housewife and Rocks In My Dryer (it could happen...maybe they've been lurking on my blog just hoping that I would tag them...HA!)

Tagged...6 Unimportant Things

I have been blessed with several lovely blogging friends. One of those friends is Rhonda at Scooterblu's Whimsy, who tagged me to share 6 unimportant things about myself. Rhonda's blog is so fun and decorative - be sure to stop by. I guess "unimportant" probably means "trivial", so I'll share some odd facts about myself. Here are the rules:

1) Link back to the person that tagged you.
2) Post the rules on your blog.
3) Share 6 unimportant things about yourself.
4) Tag other bloggers to participate, at the end of your entry.

Here goes...

1. I'll start with something that should be already obvious to you: I LOVE chocolate! I think you figured that out and maybe it's not such a trivial thing, but it is a fact about me!

2. I love the scent of vanilla! OK, that seems like it cancels out #1, but it actually complements it. It's not that I don't like the smell of chocolate, but as far as scents around the house - vanilla gives me that warm, comfortable feeling.

3. I have a bachelor's degree in Finance. What?? Where did that come from? It's true. It comes in real handy - like giving me feelings of guilt for not perfectly balancing the checkbook, or qualifying me to be the one to fill in the blanks in Turbotax.

4. I'm afraid of heights. Very afraid! Not sure why - I wasn't when I was 5...I climbed on big rocks in the country and sat on top of the roof while Dad worked on it (Umm...did my mom OK that??). Anyway, I start taking deep breaths and my legs shake so bad that I can't control them. The worst is using see-through stairs or narrow mountain trails with sheer drops. At the Grand Canyon, I couldn't go all the way to the railings at the edges - had to stay a few feet back.

5. I collect refrigerator magnets. Not just any magnets, but magnets from places - unique places that we go, cities and states that I've been to, and other countries. I don't require myself to have gone to the place, so people are always helping me out when they go somewhere new. Some of my husband's coworkers have brought me magnets from other countries that they've traveled to on business - so thoughtful!!

6. I can't even believe that I'm going to reveal this last one to you. No, it's not the brand of deodorant I use. Ready? Please don't stop coming to my blog after you read this! Here it is: In high school, I "lettered" in....Speech! Now you know why I turned out like this! :)

I hope you enjoyed finding out a few strange facts about me. As far as tagging other bloggers, I want everybody to participate! If you're reading this and you haven't done this before (or even if you have!), consider yourself tagged and let me know when you post about it! Inquiring minds want to know!

Hope I helped start your week with a smile. Have a blessed Monday!
