Frozen Chocolate Mousse

Thank you for putting up with my recent serious post. I think I should reward you with some chocolate!! :)

I think all of you will really like this recipe. I found it long ago on the internet through Betty Crocker. It's sooooo easy and elegant, too! It's a favorite of mine to serve to company - super easy, can be made ahead, and looks and tastes impressive. And no baking - no extra heat in your summer-time house.

Frozen Chocolate Mousse

2 cups heavy whipping cream
4 tablespoons almond-flavored liqueur or Italian syrup (I have also used Almond Roca and English Toffee flavored syrups)
1/2 cup chocolate-flavor syrup (like Hershey's)
Cocoa, if desired

1. Beat whipping cream in chilled bowl with electric mixer on high speed until stiff. Fold in liqueur (or Italian syrup) and chocolate syrup.
2. Spoon into 8-10 paper-lined foil cupcake liners (can mound up higher than edge as much as possible). Cover and freeze at least 4 hours but no longer than 48 hours. Place in refrigerator 15 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with cocoa.

Makes 8-10 servings. Can easily cut recipe in half.

Make sure to use the foil cupcake liners - they really add to the elegance. It's really nice to serve these with some chocolates on the side or some Pirouline cookies.

I can't wait for you to try these! Let me know what you think.

Have a delicious day friends!

I caught Semi-Homemade yesterday on the Food network and she was making all kinds of chocolate stuff. YUMO! I had to turn it off because I felt stuffed just watching it. LOL.

Hope to be back to visit...

I just dropped in to see what you had been up to and saw that you left me an award! There is nothing like your FIRST award, so CONGRATULATIONS on yours! You deserve it!
