Wordless Wednesday ~ The Napping Squirrel

We have a park behind our house, so there are squirrels hanging out on our fence regularly. I was fascinated by this one - it was napping in the sun - and it stayed that way for a long time! I didn't get the shot in time, but the eyes were even closed! When do you ever see a squirrel who isn't running around or completely twitchy?

Maybe he's stopping and smelling the chocolates. :D

I wonder if this squirrel used to be one of the family of busy little guys on our fence a couple years ago...

Wordless Wednesday ~ Cozy Buster

When it's raining, dogs want to be cozy too.  :)

This was after Buster, our Basset hound, got all wet during the last rainstorm. I thought you should know just how difficult his life is with us. :)

Wordless Wednesday ~ Bacon & Eggs For Dessert

A fun little treat I made for April Fool's Day!  These are bacon and eggs...candy.  :)

And don't forget to turn the "m's" upside down - these 3 were my leftover rejects.

I took them to our church potluck and handed them out after we ate - everybody loved them!  They're yummy with that sweet & salty flavor combo.  To get the instructions on how to make these - stop by Passion For Excellence.

Wordless Wednesday ~ Send Chocolate

An unexpected package arrived in the mail yesterday.  Somebody seems to be under the impression that we like chocolate.  Chocolate from Germany.  That somebody is my sister.  And she is correct.  :)

Wordless Wednesday: The Squirrels

I just had to share these pics and Wordless Wednesday happened to be at the same time!

I had just got used to the idea that we had "a" squirrel that was hanging around our yard.  But it now turns out  there are more.

Not one...

 

Not two...

Not three...

Not four...

Not five...

But six (4 on the right, 2 on the left)!!!  In addition to the main squirrel, who isn't even pictured!

Now don't you find it a little strange that they don't seem to feel threatened by Buster??

Hee,hee.  Poor clueless Buster.  :)

Now friends, I do think squirrels are cute, but I find this number of them at once a little disturbing!  And we have a small yard.  I'm hoping once they're full grown, they'll decide that the park behind our house is a much more fun place to be.

Wordless Wednesday: Our New Boy Scout

Our son recently joined Boy Scouts and just got his uniform.  He's so excited about it!

This is the handsomeness that we sent out into the neighborhood to sell popcorn to raise money for Scouting.  Those poor neighbors didn't stand a chance!  Could you say no to that polite young man?

When I was in Florida recently, I saw something I had never seen!  Now I have been to many different Starbucks locations in a few different states (and yes, I'm a gold member), but these Florida Starbucks people must be *really* obsessed!  Do you see this Starbucks sign?

It's ACROSS the street from a Starbucks with a parking lot and a drive-thru!!  Wow.  That's it - I'm buying stock.  LOL!  Have you ever seen a sign like this?
