Works-For-Me-Wednesday: Free Tire Repair

We made it home safe and sound from our 2-week trip. Praise the Lord!

Something that worked for me along the drive home yesterday was getting our tire fixed - for free! We noticed a slow leak in a tire the night before and had to really watch it as we knew we had MANY miles to drive. My husband filled it with air, but it was getting low again by the next stop. That can be nerve-wracking when some of the places you're driving are miles away from any kind of civilization!

We stopped in Wells, Nevada and saw a Les Schwab tire place. We decided to check it out and see if they might have time to fix it. Cost didn't really matter to us at that point - we were more concerned about safety. They were able to take care of it right away and we sat in the lobby for about 15 minutes. The tire had a small screw and needed a patch. When they finished, they told us "No charge!" and sent us on our way. That was especially nice since we had already had the most expensive trip ever (will tell you about it in the near future).

So, the people at Les Schwab were very friendly, very efficient, and fixed our tire for free! I believe that is their policy, but it may depend on what needs to be done to your tire.

Go see Shannon at Rocks In My Dryer for more great Works-For-Me-Wednesday tips!

It's so nice to be home...

  3. If you're a Sam's Club member, they also do free tire repair, whether you bought the tire there or not.

  4. Glad you are home safe and sound. I bet you listened to me and wore your seatbelt, and paid attention while driving?! I used to be a Defensive Driving Instructor for the State of Oklahoma, old habits die hard!!!!
That is so nice to see that some people, companies, still do believe in customer service. What a concept and that makes them A-1 in my book!
Looking forward to hearing about your trip.
