Tea for Two-sday ~ First Taste of Tea

**Updated - I'm linking this to Knit 1, Tea 2 where they are celebrating National Hot Tea Month! The first topic is about when you started drinking hot tea...**
~~~~~~~~~
I'm a bit behind in posting today. My brain was too foggy last night and I've been gone all day. Here I am momentarily before we head to baseball practice.
Do you remember the first time you had tea? Real tea? Not just pretend tea with your stuffed animals!
I don't remember my very first time having tea, but I know I drank it at my grandparents' house. My grandmother would make tea for my sister and me. Nothing fancy - Lipton teabags in simple yellow cups and saucers. She gave us milk and honey to sweeten it up - and we used plenty of it! At the time, I couldn't have imagined drinking it plain. That memory is a very comforting one and really sticks in my mind, so I don't even know if I drank tea at home when I was a child.
Can you think back to when you had tea as a child? Or did you only try it as an adult? I would love to hear your tea memories!
  1. I cannot for the life of me remember when I tasted my first cup, pretty young I imagine. It's a bit of a staple around these parts you see.
  2. I will have to think awhile to remember my first of 'real tea'. I remember herbal teas as a child, but really didn't start drinking actual tea until well into adulthood.
  3. That was sweet. I often wished for that kind of a grandma. Mine was more a "cocktails at 5 pm" and proper manners kind of lady.
