Would You Like Chocolate With That? ~ Christmas Mocha Balls

I'm glad I have Chocolate Fridays and all of you! You're the reason that I push myself to try new chocolate recipes, and have found some new favorites. One of these days, I will have to put together a "cookbook" of all my chocolate recipes!

Today I'm sharing a new one I tried last night. That's right - I decided to try a brand new recipe to include in hubby's bosses' gifts - I'm crazy like that sometimes (I was 95% sure that it would be delicious!). Oh so yummy!!

These little cookies aren't overly sweet and have a nice subtle coffee flavor mixed in with the chocolate - mmmm. I HAD to try them to make sure they were OK to give out, and sometimes you really have to try more than one to get the full effect! :) Hubby took the yummy photos of these - he's so much better at it than me.

Christmas Mocha Balls

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons instant coffee powder
1/4 cup cocoa
1 3/4 cups flour
2 cups finely chopped pecans
Powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In large bowl, cream butter, sugar, and vanilla until light. Add coffee powder, cocoa, and flour. Mix well. Add pecans. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 17-20 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while warm.

That's it! These little gems came out of my fun new little Chocolate Lover's Cookbook - it also had the recipe for Chocolate Pecans. I hope you try this recipe. Let me know what you think!

Now it's your turn to link up a chocolate post - old or new - bring it on! If you need ideas, check here or last week. Please share your chocolate!
