Would You Like Dessert With That? ~ Dump Cake

Welcome back and Happy New Year to everybody! Since this is the first Friday of the month, we're linking up any yummy desserts in addition to just chocolate posts. Relax - just go find an old post with dessert or chocolate and link it up - no stress!

I'm giving you the recipe for Dump Cake today. I know - terrible name, but YUM-MY! So easy and so rich. I got the recipe a few years ago from a lady at church when I asked her what that delicious stuff was 'cause I had to be able to make some more! Only then did I realize that I already had the recipe - given to me by my aunts when I got married - I had just never tried it before.

I just made some since my Dad is visiting and we needed an easy dessert for our easy New Year Dinner (that means we had take-out!).

Dump Cake
1 - 20 oz can pie filling (I like cherry or blueberry)
1 - 20 oz can crushed pineapple
1 package yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup coconut
1 cup melted butter

Spread pie filling on bottom of 13x9 in. pan, add crushed pineapple. Sprinkle dry yellow cake mix over this, then add nuts, then coconut. Pour melted butter over evenly. Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees F.

That is it - so simple. You'll wow your company with this one!

Now, you link up something! I'll even start off the links with a healthy dessert from my other blog to counteract the calories on this one! If you want more info on Chocolate Fridays, click here or take a look at the last one with some yummy stuff linked up.

Please - share your desserts. People want to know. And it might be the last chance to whip up something like this before everybody officially starts dieting! :)
