Decorating Fail

I'm always behind on decorating and worse this year since I'm homeschooling. A couple weeks ago I finally got a chance to straighten up a few decorations around the house and put out just a couple small Valentine touches here and there.

As I was doing this, I noticed something. Something I had walked by several times and had not even realized what was there.

There's something wrong here - I know it's hard to figure out.  ;)

Um, yeah. PUMPKINS. In February. So so wrong - LOL!!

If I was an awesomely resourceful decorator/crafter maybe I could have painted these white with red hearts all over.  :) But that's not me. I was just SO happy that they were not rotting or even soft. And who noticed these and never told me about it? Friends don't let friends leave pumpkins out all winter.

Do I need to start a new trend of decorating with pumpkins year round? Have you had any recent fails (I mean I'm sure you haven't because you're all so fabulous, but maybe you could share a "friend's" recent fail - LOL)?

Have a wonderful day friends!  :)

  1. I'm afraid I'm right there with you. I had two pumpkins out IN PLAIN SIGHT until a few weeks ago, when they did start to rot. I walked by them daily, and still didn't do away with them. At least you can claim you didn't notice yours!

  2. Oh my! I don't know what to say and that's saying a lot. LOL! If it weren't for my mantle there wouldn't have been much Valentinesy decor up here either. I only decorated the table the day of Valentine's.

Big I think we're just getting old but it's probably more lazy then not size hugs to you.

    Love ya!

  4. Lisa,
This is too funny! I've done something similar. You know the window gels you can purchase for each holiday. Well at Christmas when I was ready to put up the Santa and Christmas tree gels I found my Easter gels still stuck to the windows. And I do mean STUCK! The gel was literally baked onto the glass. Now we've had our house sided, standing outside watching the men and women work, and we've spent numerous hours with the curtains open each day, you would think I would have noticed the baking Easter bunnies and eggs. LOL!
