How Can I Pray For You Today?

Instead of posting a recipe today, I felt led to focus on prayer instead.

I am sometimes overwhelmed by just how many of my friends and family are in desperate need of prayer. I have friends with marriages on the brink of ending, friends and family with marriages that have ended unexpectedly, friends and family with financial difficulties, friends and family suffering from long-term illnesses, and friends and family who need to know Christ. I see needs for prayer online - through blogs, and Facebook, and Twitter - women who are just trying to make it through the day; women who are recovering from medical problems; women dealing with disease in their family; women dealing with loss, and so much more.

I will be praying today for all of these things and more {like our nation and leaders - in need of serious prayer!}. The beautiful thing about prayer is that I can do it anywhere and anytime! Though I'll spend some quiet time in prayer, I can also pray while I do laundry and dishes or pray while I'm driving. And I can pray even if I don't know the right words to use or the exact needs of the people I'm praying for.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
I am blessed to be in a position to pray for others. How can I pray for you today? Feel free to leave a prayer request in the comments or let me know another way through my contact info. If you have a spare moment or two today, would you please pray for the people responding to this post?

Have a wonderfully blessed and prayer-filled day friends!!

  1. Just saw your tweet and had to comment. I am in this mode right now, praying without ceasing! Our family has a huge decision to make in the next day or two, lists of pros and cons aren't helping, just need prayer that God would make it clear which choice is best. Both are hard. Stopping right now to say a prayer of thankfulness for this bloggy world and for your willingness to pray for us. Thank you.

  2. I know this sounds pretty trivial compared to those things but I really need to feel better fast. My head is so clogged and I can't get anything done and we are having a rehearsal dinner her Friday and my house really needs to get clean. Please pray for a healing my friend. I'd greatly appreciate.
Big I'm THIS close to getting a neti pot if things don't clear up soon size hugs to you!
    LOVE YOU!

  4. My daughters best friend was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year. She has been to hell and back, but things were looking up then...she was just told there is a mass on her bladder. It really doesn't look good but we are praying for Gods mercy and to spare her life. She is a very wondeful person, please pray for Patty. She needs all she can get.
    Thank you, Mary Jane

  6. I've been trying to pray but it's been hard recently as it seems so many things have been going wrong in life -- just today I found out the car needs a $900 repair -- money we don't have, of course. So a few prayers would be most appreciated! Marie

    1. Praying for things to get a little easier and that the car repair will be covered somehow. Also prayers for God's strength and peace as you go through these trials.
