Works-For-Me Wednesday: Memes

One thing I did when I started out on my blog was set up memes (before I knew what they were!!) to help me have a better idea of what to write about on certain days. I'm so glad I did. It does help me and I really enjoy it! Here's what I do:

***I like tea things, so every Tuesday is "Tea for Two-sday" on my blog. I write about whatever I want, as long as it relates to tea - thoughts, pictures, recipes, ideas, etc.

***I know now that every Wednesday, I will link up to "Works-for-me-Wednesday" at Rocks In My Dryer and try to write about something that works for me. I'm not sure how long I can keep going, as I feel like not too many things work so well for me!! :)

***I LOVE CHOCOLATE, so every Friday on my blog is "Would you like chocolate with that?" I always have a chocolate dessert recipe of some kind. And believe it or not, these are all recipes that I have made at least once and enjoyed. Yum!

It makes my blogging week easier knowing at least the subject of my blog posts. And I still have Mondays and Thursdays when I write about whatever topic I feel like.

What do you think of this idea? Do you have something similar on your blog? Do you think I should let people link up to these on Tuesdays or Fridays?

These memes work for me. For LOTS of wonderful tips, please visit Rocks In My Dryer for Works-For-Me-Wednesday.

P.S. You know what else works for me? Being asked to guest post! What an honor! My first guest post is at Real Life (the blog that inspired me to start) today!! If you have time, please stop by. :)

  1. I really like your memes. I tried it, I had all these ideas, but, alas, they all fell short. I still might redeem Fall-in-Love Fridays...we'll see.

  2. I like it because it works for you. I am not as organized, and I have to write based on my mood for the day (or couple days). I still do not understand the true meaning of the word memes. I think I will look it up. Have a happy day!

  3. Hi Lisa, Great blogging schedule! I may just have to join you on some of these days! I think I will do the tea post next week. I enjoyed the Gracious Hospitality Tea Blog-a-thon, but it ended last month. I invited you to play a "tag" in my post today. Play along if you like!

    Hugs, Rhonda ;)

  4. Great idea.

Once this quarter is done, I'll be checking out your memes - esp the tea one.

    Thanks for sharing.

  5. I like it! If my life were a little more structured, I would try for that, too - but right now things are a little too inconsistent.

And yes - link ups are a great idea! If I happen to have time and subject matter, I would love to join in.

  6. Lisa, this is a great idea, as some days my muse leaves me and I have no idea what to write about ! NYC gives me endless material, as there is so much about my city I can show and describe in my blog, but I love to mix it up with other things too. I'll try to join in on some of your meme days, and link to you.... I just have to remember...lol.
    Thanks!

    Higs, Pat

  7. Thanks for your comment on my blog!

I don't think I could make myself stick to a theme... I just don't post when I don't know what to write! Those are great ideas though, for sure.

  8. See, I like finding other's memes... like Rocks in my Dryer...then I don't have to come up with the idea on my own. But you went and did that part too. Sounds like it would be fun to keep up with the chocolate recipes. YUM.
