I always know the weekend is about to begin (yay) when I get to my chocolate Friday post. Welcome back! Hope you had a great week and had plenty of opportunities to have chocolate! :)
This recipe today makes a yummy and creamy hot chocolate - very sweet. I give this mix out to lots of people at Christmas - along with homemade biscotti and/or other homemade goodies - and it is always a hit! This makes a big batch, so you have plenty to give out...or keep.
Vanilla Hot Chocolate Mix
1 8-quart box powdered milk
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
15 oz. powdered chocolate drink mix (like Nestle Quik)
8 oz. non-dairy vanilla-flavored coffee creamer (powder)
Mix ingredients together and store in airtight container. Use 1/3 cup mix per 8 oz. hot water to make a cup. This makes over 12 cups of mix, about 37 servings.
You can experiment with other flavors of coffee creamer. I made amaretto flavor once. And it just occurred to me that using a caramel flavor would be yummy!
I know you want to make it right now so you can curl up by the fire this evening with a toasty cup!
Now I want to hear you talk about chocolate - OK? Please link up a chocolate post with Mr. Linky below. You can even use something from your archives. Take a look at the guidelines here and check out last week if you missed it.
Let's hear it for chocolate! Give me a C! Give me an H! Give me an...oh, just give me the chocolate.

ReplyDeleteHugs.
In the spirit of Halloween, I posted my Cauldron Cake and Witch Cupcakes (the cupcakes are chocolate so, they qualify:-).
ReplyDeleteI did a hot yummy drink too! :)
ReplyDeleteYummy, perfect for these rainy days.
ReplyDeleteI had to link to an archived post (it's been a looong day!), but don't discount the recipe because of that! Yummy!
ReplyDeletePS-Do you have a "button" that I can post on my blog sidebar?
