Tea For Two-sday ~ Cinnamon-Eggnog Scones

Are you sitting down with your cup of tea?  I hope you get to have a few relaxing post-Christmas moments!  I thought I better share these scones while there might still be eggnog in the stores - in case you want to hurry up and try this recipe!

I made these Cinnamon-Eggnog Scones from King Arthur Flour for our Christmas morning breakfast.  Wow - absolutely delicious and liked by all!  I will definitely make them again next year!  They are rich and have such a nice flavor combination.

I didn't get the best pic of them, but here it is:

You can stop by King Arthur Flour's blog for the recipe.

And just because it goes with tea in my mind, I'll tell you a couple of gifts that my hubs gave me: the A&E version of Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy) and the BBC version of Jane Eyre (with Timothy Dalton as Mr. Rochester)!  Isn't that sweet?

I hope you get to try these scones - they're so yummy!  Did you make something special for Christmas morning?

  1. Yummy sounding scones my friend. And I love the 5 hour Pride and Prejudice. It takes me like 3 days to watch it. LOL.

Big buy a bunch of egg nog now and freeze it size hugs to you.

  2. Oh, I love both of those movies!! AWESOME gifts and very thoughtful of your man :-)

    The scones look absolutely yummy!

  3. Lisa,

I love your new photo; so cute! And I love this post, too. Yum.

Hope you and your family had a great Christmas!

  4. Okay - that's it. You just confirmed that we are indeed, twins separated at birth...
    Scones? Check!
    King Arthur's Flour? Check!
BBCs Pride & Prejudice? (Colin Firth makes me all fluttery) Check!

Yeah, so don't be surprised if on some Tuesday morning I pop in to share a scone and watch P&P with you, okay???

  5. Um, yeah - that was me. Your long lost twin. I hit enter too soon...

  6. Ummm...the scones sound and look great!

I got A&E Pride and Prejudice for Christmas, too -- what a joy!

Your blog is a new one for me, but I'll be back.

  7. We are so glad that we could be part of your holiday. Your blog is delightful, and I'm sure many of us here at KAF will be back. We LOVE chocolate!

Have a happy, safe and bakeful New Year.

  8. You're killing me with the yummy recipes today! Maybe I should cram them in before I start #mamavation!

  9. Hello Lisa,

    1. I missed you on Sunday.
    2. I am on the road to recovery.
    3. Some of the children are still coughing.
    4. Will you Please, Please, Please make these scones for the banquet???????? Please.

    5. Happy NEW YEAR!

  10. I LOVE the BBC version of P&P with Colin Firth. The BBC have also released a new 4 part "Emma" (2009) and it is GREAT - I watched it Christmas night much to the horror of my family of males who don't share the same passion as I do for Jane Austen:)

    Happy New Year....
