Savor 7 {Saturday} ~ 8/18

Welcome again to Savor 7 {Saturday} friends ~ another way to share blessings and encourage each other! For some explanation of the 7 categories, see the original post. Thank you for joining me last week!

Let's look back at our week and "savor" {to have experience of; to taste or smell with pleasure; to delight in} together.

7 blessings. 7 experiences, tastes, smells, delights. 7 ways to share, encourage, inspire. 1 for each day of the week. Join me? Write your own post, sharing something for each of the 7 categories and link it up right here anytime over the weekend. If you don't have a blog, share some of your blessings in the comments!

Savor 7 {Saturday}

SCRIPTURE:
 Still working my way through Psalms (slow and steady works for me). I'll share a verse from Psalm 100 that gives me comfort:
Psalm 100:5
 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
STORY TELLER: I want to share a very special blogger with you today and I really hope you'll take a moment to go visit her and say hello! Her name is Jenni Saake and I "met" her through my blog quite some time ago. Jenni has been through so many trials including illnesses, infertility, and most recently a series of strokes. If you look at any of her blogs or sites, you'll see that God is definitely using her to bless others. Visit Jenni and be blessed, encouraged, and inspired. In turn, I hope you'll encourage Jenni by leaving her a comment! She blogs at Infertility Mom, but her newest blog is Stroke of Grace. You can also visit her on her Facebook page. And you can get more info about the ministry Jenni helped found called Hannah's Prayer, offering Christian support for  fertility challenges.

SOCIAL: I didn't have any special friend time this week - it's the last week before school starts and I had plenty to do with kiddo to get ready! I also enjoyed spending a little time with hubs as his work schedule was a little less crazy this week. Though I am blessed with many friends and I do love my girlfriends, my hubs truly is my best friend and I always enjoy spending time with him!

SILLY: Saw this on Facebook and thought I'd share - hee,hee. :)

SNAPSHOT: Our son has been trying to learn to make his own eggs for breakfast. He can now make scrambled eggs all by himself that turn out beautifully! But fried eggs? This was a pic of his first try. Tasted good though - LOL!

SIPS: I made a smoothie for breakfast earlier in the week - super easy. Frozen strawberries, frozen pineapple, milk, a little cream of coconut, and some vanilla protein powder. It turned out great! What's your favorite kind of smoothie?

SWEETS: Earlier in the week I posted the recipe for Refrigerator Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies - yum! I wish I had another batch - they are so good when made with coconut oil and with a little frosting drizzle. You don't have to have coconut oil to make them though - never be afraid to adjust a recipe to fit what you have on hand!

I hope you enjoyed my 7 things to savor! Now it's your turn! Write a Savor 7 {Saturday} post including these 7 categories and come back here to link up. Please make sure you link to the actual post rather than just your blog. And please include a link back to this post so people can find the link-up! You are also welcome to use the graphic at the top in your post or on your sidebar if you wish.

  1. I love your Savor Saturdays. I can't seem to get myself organized to post. I need a Life Planner or something. I love the Psalms. I could stay there forever. And for the record, chocolate definately makes a Monday better.
