Savor 7 {Saturday} ~ 8/25

Welcome back! It's Savor 7 {Saturday} friends ~ a new way to share blessings and encourage each other! For explanation of the 7 categories, see the original post. Thank you for joining me last week! And a special thank you to Mandy, Lori, and Lisa for linking up - be sure to read their posts full of blessings!

Let's look back at our week and "savor" {to have experience of; to taste or smell with pleasure; to delight in} together.

7 blessings. 7 experiences, tastes, smells, delights. 7 ways to share, encourage, inspire. 1 for each day of the week. Join me? Write your own post, sharing something for each of the 7 categories and link it up right here anytime over the weekend. If you don't have a blog, share some of your blessings in the comments!

Savor 7 {Saturday}

SCRIPTURE:
 Still in Psalms! I only read 3-4 a day {I like to take my Bible reading nice & slow and "savor" the words.} so it will probably take me a couple more weeks to finish.
Psalm 112:4  Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
STORY TELLER: I read an excellent guest blog post about marriage on Joyful Mothering - by Mary Beth of New Life Steward: Contracts and Covenants: Changing Our Thinking. Definitely worth a read! Also, I love both Christin and Mary Beth - you should check out both of their blogs if you haven't!

SOCIAL: My social life really consisted of all the back-to-school happenings - orientation, 1st day chapel, and I helped out in the school office all day the 1st day! I got to see most of my friends at the school functions and since the office ladies are also my friends, working in there is kind of like an all-day coffee date - but I actually accomplish something at the same time - LOL!

SILLY: Yay for people sharing funny things on Facebook! I had never heard of Kid History before - if you haven't, you've got to check it out for some great laughs for the whole family!! I'm sharing Episode 1 from YouTube here - it's really worth your time to get a few laughs in your day! :)

SNAPSHOT: Son's 1st day of school! 8th grade! He had to wear his Boy Scout uniform to school because he was participating in a flag-raising ceremony right after the 1st day chapel. Gotta love the hat! :)

 SIPS: With school starting, it's been a week full of extra coffee! With cream and sugar of course - or a flavored latte. I'm just not a black coffee kind of gal! :)

SWEETS: Earlier in the week I made my Pumpkin Bread to take to school for the staff on the 1st day. They enjoyed it, but it makes 2 loaves so we have also been enjoying it! I've been putting some in son's lunch every day. :)

I hope you enjoyed my 7 things to savor! Now it's your turn! Write a Savor 7 {Saturday} post including these 7 categories and come back here to link up. Please make sure you link to the actual post rather than just your blog. And please include a link back to this post so people can find the link-up! You are also welcome to use the graphic at the top in your post or on your sidebar if you wish. Don't forget to visit another linker or 2 to share some encouragement!
